Eugenia Covernton
FIRE PhD Teacher
eugenia.covernton@learningplanetinstitute.org
I am a teacher at CRI and I work in the NGO Lecturers Without Borders, coordinating science outreach activities. I studied Biotechnology in Argentina and Science Management in South Korea before moving to France in 2014 for a PhD in Virology. I am fascinated by viruses, but my true passions are education and science communication.
Eugenia's Bio

At CRI, I teach different forms of science communication for CRI students in bachelor and PhD levels. It all started with a course on Engaging Presentations in the FIRE doctoral school (that I've been teaching for 3 years) and has now expanded to include workshops on pitching science, literature review, written communication of various types and science communication for effective collaboration, among others.

I would love to help students at CRI develop their own communication strategies, so please contact me if you have any questions, suggestions or ideas that we could develop together (anything from "let's develop a workshop" to "I need help with my writing"!).
