Exploring research directions through co-design: a collaborative workshop by our Learning Transitions Research Unit

For over a year now, the Learning Transitions Research Unit (UR LT) has been leading hands-on, collaborative, design-driven workshops that bring together researchers from different disciplines, and helps them move beyond disciplinary silos.

Beyond being special opportunities for discussion and exchange between researchers, the workshops organised by the UR LT are designed as genuine collaborative design experiences.

Learning Transitions Research Unit - collaborative workshop

During these workshops, we bring together researchers and experts from multiple disciplines to co-create knowledge across three interconnected phases:

  • Building a shared understanding
  • Identifying key research directions
  • Designing research prototypes

Grounded in human-centered, participatory, and co-design methodologies, our approach helps diverse perspectives converge and facilitates the emergence of concrete next steps for research.

Next workshop: Nov. 26 on “Critical thinking in the age of AI“ – by invitation only

The Learning Transitions Research Unit

The Learning Transitions Research Unit is a joint research unit (UR LT) of CY Cergy Paris University & the Learning Planet Institute.

The general objective is to build scientific theories, methods and tools for developing systemic approaches to planetary transitions, based on interdisciplinarity, citizen science, collective intelligence and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
